Please join us for an Early Year’s parent phonics afternoon on Tuesday 21st November from 1:15pm-2:30pm. We will be sharing information about the teaching and learning of phonics, phonics games used at school, answering questions and providing ideas to support phonics learning at home. An overview of the Letters and Sounds program will start in the community room at 1:15, please be prompt. This will include a short presentation from Nursery, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten teachers about what Phonics looks like in each grade. After which, you will be invited to attend a detailed workshop in your child’s grade level classroom. Each workshop will provide you with the opportunity to explore what phonics looks like from your child’s perspective. These workshops will provide an essential insight into your child’s reading and writing journey and allow you to ask questions.
