The Western International School of Shanghai (WISS) seeks dynamic educators who possess a passion for learning and teaching and a commitment to promoting inquiry and reflection. They have high standards for themselves and their students, and demonstrate a strong work ethic and ability to work collaboratively in a variety of school contexts. Successful teacher candidates will share in the WISS Core Values. They are expected to take an active part in school life beyond the classroom. Ideal candidates will have taught students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, with an emphasis on providing English language support.
To be considered, teacher candidates must have a university degree in Education, the appropriate teaching license or credentials and at least three years teaching experience. Preference is given to those who have taught in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP).
We have open positions in the Primary (Grades 1-5) for the 2020-2021 school year. If interested, submit a cover letter, CV and current references to Doreen J. Garrigan, Primary Principal at: firstname.lastname@example.org. WISS will also be attending the Search Associates London job fair, January 17-20, 2020.
