The Western International School of Shanghai (WISS) invite applications from Learning Support specialists with a focus on early intervention.  The successful candidate will actively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to support student learning and well-being. Learning Support specialists are an integral part of the student support services structure at WISS who work to provide additional support to students within Early Years and Primary.  In addition to providing responsive services to the student, teachers and family, members of the student support services team provide individualised learning plans, work proactively to foster community, leadership, healthy student interactions, and collaboratively develop a positive environment for learning.
The ideal candidate must have a learning support or special education related degree and a minimum of three years post-degree experience working with children between two to eleven years of age in an education setting.  Primary Years Programme (PYP) experience preferred.
