Personal Projects form part of the WISS education which encourage IB learners to inquire around topic of interest, to embark on individual research projects that apply the elements of the IB Learner Profiles that encourage and inspire creative and critical thinking to achieve astonishing results. The IB Middle Years Personal Project includes a process journal where each student reflects on their learning. They document and describe the phases they went through and how they arrived at their final project.
Students collaborate and share their experience with the stages of the project, challenges and obstacles they encountered along the way and how they applied their knowledge to overcome the challenges and obstacles.
These students work on their own, supervised by an experienced tutor who guides and assists at through the various stages of the project. G10 Personal Projects show how students develop research, innovation, creativity, and communication skills.
This year’s Personal Project Exhibition was a display of 34 student-driven, reflective projects featuring a wide range of fields, including 3D Design, Computer Hardware, Animation, Music, Photography, and Sustainable Lifestyles, among others.
