IB Diploma Full Academic Scholarships

In addition to the partial Outstanding Achievement Scholarships available, and as part of WISS’s commitment to providing highly motivated and talented students with an exceptional educational experience, WISS also offers full IB Diploma Academic Scholarships to students who are proficient in English, demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, and show promise of excelling in the IB Diploma Programme. Current WISS students or recently admitted students, entering Grades 11 or 12, are invited to apply from February 18 – March 15. The recipients of this scholarship will study at WISS tuition-free for the duration of the IB Diploma Programme, which lasts for two years (Grades 11 and Grade 12). A scholarship acceptance, specifying the conditions and duration of the scholarship, will need to be signed by the school and the parents of the selected students.

Requirements to Qualify

Current WISS students or recently admitted students, entering Grades 11
Proficient in English
Minimum GPA/score of 6 on the IB scale of 7 (or equivalent) in all subjects
Completed application received from February 3 – February 28, 2020

Selection of the Recipients

The WISS IB Diploma Full Academic Scholarships will be awarded to candidates as determined by the Scholarship Selection Committee, based on their academic record, performance on school administered assessments, and an interview with the Scholarship Selection Committee. Strong consideration will be given to those students who have consistently made positive contributions to the WISS community through service, action, and participation in school life. As an IB school, WISS will look for students who exemplify the IB Learner profile. Candidates who do not receive the WISS IB Diploma Academic Scholarship, but who demonstrate outstanding achievement, may be eligible for a WISS Outstanding Achievement Partial Scholarship.

Academic requirements

Scholarship recipients must maintain consistently high academic achievement. A minimum GPA of 6 on the IB scale of 7 (or equivalent) must be maintained.

Character Requirements

Character Requirements

Scholarship recipients must uphold high standards for academic honesty and character. Any violation of academic honesty expectations, school policy or the law while attending WISS may result in the withdrawal of the scholarship.

Financial Requirements

Financial Requirements

Scholarship recipients are still required to pay all fees including but not limited to the Application Fee, Capital Fee, Transportation Fee and all fees for after school activities and trips.
