The Third Annual WISS Sports Carnival

June 12th, 2010 played host to the third annual WISS sports carnival. Students, parents and teachers alike spent the morning participating in a variety of games and activities such as ping pong ball relays, “egg and spoon” and “sponge” relays and other such games.

The afternoon saw the entire school gather on the field for the running of the WISS “Big Race”. Starting with the nursery students and extending in distance with each older grade, students participated in a long distance race. As the course varied with each year level spectators cheered on as the runners sped around different areas of the school grounds. Students ran with gusto and the participation and enthusiasm was second to none.

The emphasis of the day was on fun and participation and going by the smiles on the faces and the cheers from the crowed it is certain the goals of the day were achieved with all having a very enjoyable time and no doubt looking forward already to next year’s carnival.
