Admissions process -

1. Arrange to visit the school campus by contacting our admissions office. Our Admissions staff will arrange a tour of the campus and will answer any further questions that you may have. At this time, you will have the opportunity to view classes in progress (during school hours) and meet with key staff. You will be given a full application package. We also invite students to come and spend the day to experience WISS first hand, and we are always happy to connect prospective parents to current parents to hear their views of the school.


2. Complete the application forms and return them to the Admissions Office with a non-refundable fee of RMB2,000.

These include:
  • a completed and signed application form
  • a copy of parents and student(s) passport and residency visa (or letter from employer affirming visa will be pending)
  • a copy of students birth certificate with official translation (if necessary)
  • health form and copy of students up-to-date immunization records
  • four (4) recent passport sized photos
  • academic records in English with the certified translations (if necessary)
  • For PK- Kindergarten students – full records from current year
  • For Grades 1-5 students – current records plus the previous year records
  • For Grades 6-10 students – current records plus the previous 2 years records
  • For Grades 11-13 students– current records plus all records from G9

Records need to include:
  • Any available standardized test scores
  • Any special needs testing (if relevant)
  • Classroom teacher recommendation
  • Principal/counsellor recommendation
  • For Grade 9 and above, recommendation from Maths, English and one other teacher

3. Upon acceptance you will need to sign and return to the Admissions Office:
  • Enrolment contract
  • Parent agreement
  • Marketing and photo release form
  • Computer User Agreement
  • Pay the non-refundable enrolment deposit of RMB10,000. This deposit will guarantee your child's place for the following year and will be transferred towards tuition upon commencement at WISS.

All fees can be paid by:
  • Cash (¥RMB only)
  • Cheque (¥RMB only)
  • Wire transfer/bank payment (¥RMB; US$, HK$)*
