WISS is the first in international school in Shanghai to implement the SNAP Health Portal because we care not only for your child’s learning but also for your child’s health!
What is SNAP?
SNAP is a tool designed to facilitate communication between school nurses and parents regarding their child’s health, providing a better health care system at school.
WISS launched the SNAP Health Portal on January 11th. With SNAP, parents are now able to update their child’s health records, personal information, immunization records, health conditions, and contact information. Through the portal, parents can give permission for medical treatment and dispensing medication, have access to the school Health Policy, Action Plans, Contagious Diseases Exclusion Policy and other health related information.
Parents can also now monitor their child’s visits to the nurse from the comfort of their home. Information such as when the child visited the nurse, how often, for what reason, and what first aid or treatment was given, is available for parents to see online. Parents can also provide valuable information and documentation needed by the school nurses to properly care for their child without taking a trip to the school. For instance, doctor’s diagnoses, prescriptions and health certificates can now be sent to the school nurse using the built-in portal messages. Through the built-in portal messages, parents can communicate with the school nurses directly which eliminates the frustrations of dialing the wrong number, missed calls, keeping track of messages in your inbox lost!
We know the importance of confidentiality for your child’s health information too. With a secure login and encrypted data transfer, parents can rest assured that their child’s health information is safe online.
SNAP has it all!
